Last night at Bunco we were discussing what a small Army it is. Everywhere you go you meet someone who knew someone at the last place you were.
Even though I want to hate the Army for not knowing where I will be in 3 months, I love that where ever I will be I will make friends because we all have someone somewhere in comon.
Last night was our first Bunco here in Leavenworth. I hosted at my house. What a wonderful mindless game. I say mindless, but it takes some skill to drink frozen Margaritas, throw three dice, keep a tally of how many "twos" you get along with discussing the latest bit of gossip and politics around post.
We have a great diverse group of women playing and I am sure upcoming months will be as fun as last night.
Jason was up in the middle of the night complaining that his mouth hurt, after a dose of Motrin and cold medicine he was able to sleep again, only to wake up this morning holding his ear and crying. I am so glad he is able to communicate what hurts. After making an appointment online (isn't that wonderful) we saw the doctor who confirmed that he did have a "yucky ear" I think she called it. He is now on antibiotics and has to be seen again in two weeks.
Hooray it's the first day of school. Kids were so excited they couldn't sleep last night. They jumped out of bed when we woke them up. Tyler is in First grade, Dylan starts sixth. Can't wait to hear about their first day back to school.

Okay yea that's hot but oops we forgot to factor in the heat index (you know that **&%#$ humidity). So today they said it would feel like 106.
We are holed up in our houses like treed squirrels. Sometimes we venture out at night and visit and sweat like pigs, not in direct sunlight of course.
